I Get It Because I've Lived It
The best coaches aren't the ones who have it all figured out—they're the ones who've walked the path and know the terrain.
I didn't wake up one day with a perfect plan. I woke up realizing I had to choose: stay comfortable or choose myself.
Hi, I am Margaret Williams, certified executive leadership coach, documented with over 500+ coaching hours with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I recently retired with over 39 years of experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, specializing in construction contract administration.
For over a decade, I led teams as an Army civilian. High-stakes decisions. Complex challenges. Real people counting on me to get it right. I learned to lead through crisis, rebuild trust when teams fractured, and keep moving forward when the path wasn't clear.
But here's what nobody tells you: you can be good at something and still feel unfulfilled. I hit that wall. The one where the promotions feel empty and you're winning on paper but losing yourself in the process.
So I made a choice. I walked toward the unknown. I chose growth over comfort. I chose building something meaningful over staying in something safe.
Today, as an I/O Psychologist and certified leadership coach, I bring both strategic expertise and hard-earned wisdom. I understand the corporate world because I lived in it. I understand transition because I'm in one. And I understand the power of authentic leadership because I've seen what happens when we stop performing and start being real.
That's why my coaching isn't about giving you a formula. It's about helping you find YOUR way—with practical tools, honest feedback, and the kind of energy that reminds you what's possible when you stop playing small.
